The 7th ICAAP is committed to making the Congress accessible to as many people as possible, especially from the diverse communities in Asia and the Pacific region. A substantial scholarship fund-raising effort is underway with the intention to provide a fund of approximately 40 million yen.
The 7th ICAAP Scholarship Program will help bring delegates to the Congress including persons from developing countries, educators, care givers, health professionals, researchers, community workers, journalists and people living with HIV/AIDS. The majority of scholarships will be partial, and successful applicants will be informed around April 10, 2005. Scholarship applicants are strongly encouraged to seek multiple sources of support for their attendance at the 7th ICAAP. Preference for selection criteria will be given to those who can demonstrate their ability to contribute to the Congress and then share their knowledge with others in their region, and can represent the population of the community where they work.
Although we will make every effort to assist as many people as possible to attend, we regret that the number of scholarships that will be allocated is limited.
